The Military Legal Advocacy Project (MLAP) offers free civil legal services to veterans, military personnel (active duty, guard or reserve) and their families whose lives have been directly impacted by military service in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom. The Project’s purpose is to resolve civil legal problems that pose a barrier to successful reintegration after military discharge or pose economic and social challenges due to military deployment in these campaigns. In addition to the civil legal services normally provided by LSGMI, the Project focuses on providing quality legal assistance to appeal denials of Veteran’s Administration benefits.
