When Mayra, a school teacher, was diagnosed with cancer, she was no longer able to work. She was awarded SSI disability and Medicaid benefits, and received extensive medical treatment for her condition. When her medical providers’ attempts to bill Medicaid were denied, Mayra was left with more than $37,000 in unpaid medical bills. With the help of an LSGMI lawyer, Medicaid agreed to pay Mayra’s bills and the burden of these medical expenses was lifted.

You can become a client of LSGMI in a number of ways:

Call the Main Office or South Dade Office during regular hours.
Come to the Main office during walk-in intake hours. An attorney can see you the same day.
Walk-in to the South Dade office during walk-in intake hours. In many cases, an attorney can see you the same day. Otherwise, you will be given an appointment with an attorney for another day.
Walk-in to a neighborhood office. You will meet with an attorney.
